New South Wales Combined High School Sport Trials for a Greater Sydney Regional Team

In 2014 NSWCHS will enter a 16 and Under Schoolgirls Team in the School Sport Australia National Championships. NSW have previously successfully entered a team in 2011 and are pursuing formal inclusion into the School Sport Australia program for 2015 and beyond. Trials have been held in Narrandera (10th April) for Southern NSW schools and a Combined Catholic Colleges trial will be held on the 8th of May in Sutherland, Sydney.

Girls aged 16 years and under as of the 31st of December 2014 are invited to attend the Greater Sydney Regional trials. The Greater Sydney Metro Team will play in the NSW CHS State Championships in Wagga Wagga on June 2nd. A combined NSW All Schools Team will be selected from this competition to play in the School Sport Australia AFL National Championships in Sydney in July, the pinnacle of school sport.

Combined Catholic Colleges Trials
Thursday 8th May
Location: Waratah Oval No. 4
Wharf St, Marrickville Rawson Ave, Sutherland
Time: 9am – 2.30pm

The 16 and Under School Girls program is a significant link in our female AFL pathway across NSW and will provide the increasing number of girls playing in our community youth girls leagues the opportunity to represent their school and state in AFL.
