Northern Lakes Power Junior AFL Club has received a $50,000 funding boost from the NSW Government under the Community Building Partnerships Grants program, Member for Swansea Garry Edwards has announced.
Mr Edwards said the Club will use the funding to improve infrastructure at Northlakes Oval for the benefit of players and spectators.
“The Club will use the funding to construct an awning on the Clubhouse to give shelter to players and spectators attending the oval for a range of sporting activities,” Mr Edwards said.
“Funding will also be used to construct fencing around the oval to improve safety for anyone using facilities at the oval.
“These improvements will certainly assist not only the Northern Lakes Power Junior AFL Club and any sporting organisation that use Northlakes Oval into the future, but also spectators and sporting officials,” he said.
“I am proud to support the Northern Lakes Power Junior AFL Club in their endeavour to improve its sporting facility and look forward to seeing the completed project.
“The community will certainly benefit from the infrastructure improvements, and I would like to congratulate the Club management for seeking this NSW Government funding.”
